Gain comprehensive competency in applying IEC 61511 across the full functional safety lifecycle — from hazard analysis through to operation and maintenance of SIS.

[Placeholder — replace with real copy] This four-day workshop provides delegates with end-to-end competency in functional safety for the process industry, following IEC 61511 (ANSI/ISA-84). From initial process hazard analysis and SIL determination through to SIS design, verification, validation, and ongoing management, delegates will leave with the confidence to fulfil competent person roles within their organisations’ functional safety programmes. Extensive use of worked examples from oil & gas and petrochemical operations.
Prerequisites
Delegates should have working knowledge of process instrumentation and control, and at least 3 years of experience in process operations, engineering, or maintenance.
Who should attend
Functional safety engineers, instrumentation engineers, and SIS designers responsible for delivering and validating Safety Instrumented Systems under IEC 61511. Strongly recommended for those preparing for TÜV FSEng certification.
