[Placeholder — replace] Common questions about how we work, how we deliver, and what to expect.
Delivery
What formats do you offer — classroom, virtual, or blended?+
[Placeholder — replace] We offer all three formats. Most in-house programmes are delivered as classroom-based courses at your facility. Open enrolment courses run as instructor-led classroom events at our training centres. Where geography or scheduling makes it necessary, we can adapt selected courses for virtual or blended delivery — speak to us about your requirements.
How much lead time do you need to organise an in-house programme?+
[Placeholder — replace] For most in-house programmes, we ask for a minimum of four to six weeks from the initial scoping call to delivery start. Where courses require significant content adaptation to your specific procedures or P&IDs, eight to ten weeks is more realistic. We can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines for standard courses with minimal customisation.
Can you deliver training at our facility?+
[Placeholder — replace] Yes — onsite delivery at your facility is our standard model for in-house programmes. We require a suitable training room, access to relevant plant documentation for case study adaptation, and appropriate site induction for our instructors. We will confirm site requirements during the scoping process.
Is there a minimum or maximum group size?+
[Placeholder — replace] Our in-house cohorts typically run with between 6 and 16 participants per delivery. Smaller groups are possible but may affect commercial viability. Larger cohorts can often be split across consecutive delivery days. Open enrolment courses are capped at 12 participants to preserve the interactive workshop format.
Customisation
Can you adapt the course agenda to match our specific plant or procedures?+
[Placeholder — replace] Yes — adapting content to your specific context is a core part of our in-house offering. We review your P&IDs, procedures, competency framework, and any previous incident history to shape case studies, worked examples, and exercises that are directly relevant to your engineers' day-to-day work.
Can programmes be delivered in languages other than English?+
[Placeholder — replace] Our standard programmes are delivered in English. Translation and localisation for other languages is possible for larger in-house engagements — please enquire. We can also work with client-provided interpreters where needed.
What is the difference between open enrolment and an in-house programme?+
[Placeholder — replace] Open enrolment courses run on fixed calendar dates with participants from multiple organisations — ideal for individuals or small groups with a specific development need. In-house programmes are delivered exclusively to your team at your facility, with content adapted to your context. In-house delivery is generally more cost-effective for groups of six or more and allows significantly greater content customisation.
Pricing
How is pricing structured?+
[Placeholder — replace] Open enrolment courses are priced per participant. In-house programmes are priced on a programme basis — a fixed fee covering content adaptation, delivery days, pre-delivery scoping, and the post-programme coaching window. We do not charge separately for reasonable content adaptation within the agreed scope. Pricing is available on request.
What is included in the programme fee?+
[Placeholder — replace] The in-house programme fee includes the initial scoping call, content adaptation to your context, all delivery days, participant materials, pre- and post-training assessments, a post-programme outcome report, and an 8-week post-delivery access period to your lead trainer. Travel and accommodation for instructors are charged separately at cost.
Outcomes
Do participants receive a certificate, and is training formally assessed?+
[Placeholder — replace] All participants receive an Osvard Competency certificate of completion. Most courses include a formal assessment component — typically a written knowledge check, a facilitated case study exercise, or a structured practical demonstration. Assessment criteria are shared with participants in advance. Where a participant does not demonstrate the required standard, we will work with you to agree a reassessment or additional support plan.
